People magazine is in a class of mags that I
refer to as celebrity driven without being a tabloid
(i.e. Star or The National Inquirer). This means
that you miss out on all the articles that claim
that a real life cat women was found, but you still
get to find out how J. Lo and Brittany Spear's
marriages are proceeding. Warning! If you want to
read about world events, then this is NOT the
magazine for you. If you do want lengthy articles
about celebrity life, movies, television, and books,
then People is a good read. People magazine does not
have the same flashy photos like US Weekly or In
Touch, but their articles do have more depth. It all
depends on what you are looking for. People
magazine tends to be last on my list because I
like more fluff than what they have, but I do like
their special editions with photographs after award
shows. |

People magazine is one of the worst
expressions of American life. Instead of making our
own lives more meaningful and exciting - which is
possible - People
magazine
encourages us to ogle and fixate over people who are
essentially images, people we will never meet, and
in many cases people who have very little going for
them. Does anyone really think that Britney Spears
has anything to say about anything, or that Paris
Hilton is barely aware of her own existence? Does it
ever make a whit of difference to your life how many
times J.Lo is engaged (in order to get on the cover
of another magazine) or who Demi Moore is grinding
with today or where Gweyneth gets her gowns? |

I love this magazine! It's not as good as it used to
be but most magazines aren't. It's an overall great
magazine. One of my guilty pleasures!
And I own a people magazine subscription for two
years - never wanted to cancel. |

This is my favorite magazine. I subscribe to a lot
of them but always end up reading this one the most.
Keep up the good work! |

I ordered this magazine as a gift, but had it
delivered to my house. I opted out of receiving any
mail other than the magazine. I still get junk mail
to my home. I know that this is the source because
it is addressed to the person I got the magazine
for. I called and asked to take my name off of their
mailing lists. I still get junk mail. I am paying
for the magazine. I don't need to pay a second time |
